The WHPK Living Archive

As part of Signal Magazine’s aim to document the past and present of music and the radio station, I collaborated with another member of the station to an archive of the campus population’s music taste at the moment. We plan to expand this archive to include sounds of things, sounds of places, recordings you’ve taken, recordings of you, photographs, poems, trinkets, doodles, something special from the depths of your pocket or purse, audio files of any kind, a song that is special to you, __________.

Nothing sparking your creativity so far? We wrote this prompt to make things easier:

5 years from now, 10 years from now, 20 years from now, someone is looking through this archive. They’re curious: What was WHPK like in 2023? What was campus like? What were you like? What did people listen to in the 2020s? What did they draw, photograph, and wear? What do you want to show them? What do you want to archive?

This is a non-curated archive; our intention is to have it be completely generated from community/individuals/the ground-up. Everything submitted will be included in the archive.
