The Kashmir Conflict: A Personal Essay

This project explores the Kashmir conflict between Pakistan and India, focusing on its cultural impacts and nationalistic interests through personal and historical lenses. Inspired by my family's history of displacement due to the conflict, I combine personal narrative, research on cultural symbols, and theories of nationalism to create both a personal essay and a visual artwork. The artwork offers an abstract representation of these themes, while the essay delves into how they shape collective identity and historical memory.
